Gold fell more than 1% to below $2715 per ounce on Wednesday after hitting a record high of $2750 earlier in the session. Despite this pullback, gold is still up more than 31% this year thanks to the US Federal Reserve’s rate cut last month and sustained demand for the safe-haven currency.
